SECTION 1 - WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT AND UNDER WHAT CIRCUMSTANCES?

We collect certain personal information from those who visit our site and from our customers.

When you make a purchase in our store, we collect the personal information you provide to us as part of the purchase and sale process, such as your name, address, phone number, and email address.

This information and other personal information you may provide may also be collected when you sign up for an account, make changes to your account, save your information before checking out, subscribe to our newsletter or mailing list, post content, or communicate with us by email, web form, instant messaging, or phone.

Additionally, when you browse our store, we automatically record the Internet Protocol (IP) address of your computer, and occasionally we collect certain categories of information about you from third parties (such as web analytics software) to obtain information that helps us learn more about your browser, operating system, and browsing habits on our site, as well as demographic data.

SECTION 2 - HOW DO WE USE YOUR INFORMATION?

We use your information to present our products to you, target advertising and marketing campaigns, contact you, and improve our support and services for you.

We keep your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and to comply with our legal obligations.

We will never sell your personal data to third parties.

SECTION 3 - CONSENT AND ACCESS TO YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

How do we obtain your consent?

When you provide us with your personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, contact us, arrange a delivery, return a purchase, or in any other way mentioned in the sections above, you indicate your consent for us to collect and use your information for that specific purpose only.

How can I access my information or withdraw my consent?

You can access certain personal information that we collect by logging into your account. You also have the right to access other personal information that we hold and to request that any errors in the data be corrected.

If, after registering, you change your mind and no longer wish for us to contact you, to continue collecting, using, and disclosing your information, you may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting our Data Protection Officer electronically at info@homeoanimo.com or by mail at the following postal address:

Please note that if you request your personal information to be deleted, we will retain information from deleted accounts necessary for our legitimate business interests, to comply with the law, prevent fraud, collect fees, resolve disputes, address issues, cooperate with investigations, enforce the terms of service, and for other legal purposes. The information we retain will be treated in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

SECTION 4 - DISCLOSURE

We may disclose your personal information if required by law or if you violate our terms of use.

SECTION 5 - SHOPIFY

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc., which provides us with the e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

Your information is stored in Shopify’s records, databases, and the general application. Your information is stored on a secure server with a firewall.

Payment:

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, Shopify stores your credit card information. This data is encrypted according to the PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard). Relevant information for your purchase is stored only for the duration of the transaction. Once the transaction is complete, this information is deleted.

All direct payment gateways comply with PCI-DSS as governed by the PCI Security Standards Council, a joint initiative of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.

PCI-DSS requirements help ensure that credit card information is handled securely by our store and its service providers.

For more information, you can review Shopify's terms of use (https://www.shopify.com/legal/terms) or Shopify's privacy policy (https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy).

SECTION 6 - THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

In general, the third-party providers we use will only collect, use, and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies governing the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase transactions. We recommend that you read their privacy policies to understand how your personal information will be handled by these providers.

Please note that some providers may be located in or have facilities in a jurisdiction different from yours or ours. Therefore, if you proceed with a transaction that involves a third-party service provider, your information may then be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.

For example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is managed by a payment gateway based in the United States, your personal information used to complete the transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act.

Once you leave our store’s website and are redirected to a third-party site or application, you are no longer governed by this privacy statement or our website’s terms of service.

SECTION 7 - SECURITY

To protect your personal information, we take all reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to ensure that your personal information is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed.

If you provide us with your credit card information, it is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with AES-256 encryption. Although no method of electronic transmission or storage over the Internet is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.
