Bonjour , suite à une boiterie de ma petite chatte de huit ans avec gonflement de la cuisse j’ai pris rdv chez mon vétérinaire et je suis tombée de haut quand celui ci après avoir passé une radio m’a annoncé une tumeur osseuse sans métastase et il faut que je prenne une décision entre l’amputation de la patte arrière ou alors un traitement d’anti inflammatoire jusqu’a la fin je vous avoue que je suis perdu d’un cote je ne voudrais pas lui infliger cet handicap et de l’autre je ne voudrais pas qu’elle souffre trop n’existe t il pas une autre option alternative ? Un soin pour empêcher la maladie d’évoluer ou une opération pour enlever le mal sans amputer je ne sais vraiment pas quoi faire pouvez vous m’aider svp à prendre une décision plus que difficile par avance merci Muriel

Bonjour, merci pour votre article lors de la visite de contrôle annuelle de mon lucky, j’ai parlé de sa boiterie a la vétérinaire ayant eu une fracture soignée par broche il y a 2 ans je pensais que cela avait pu bouger mais non la radio a révélé que l’os est abîmé déformé plus du tout sens contrairement à il y a 2 ans, du coup bilan de tumeur osseuse. Seule possibilité amputation sans sécurité de survie car on ne sait pas si il y’a d’autres développement de tumeur ailleurs mais lucky ayant des problèmes cardiaques et une perte musculaire dans les deux pattes arrières j’ai peur qu’une amputation ne soit envisageable. La vétérinaire a tenté un piqûre de solensia a refaire dans un mois si amélioration. Je veux lui assurer la meilleure qualité de vie jusqu’à la fin je ne suis pas sûre que l’amputation lui apporte ça. Merci pour votre article instructif.

Hier le veto a diagnostiqué un osteosarcome à mon chat 12 ans avec aussi une tumeur au poumons il le dit que rien n’est faisable soin palliatif avec corticoide et anti coagulant et un jour ce sera la fin dans quelque semaine quelque mois ma t’il dit.
Pouvait vous m’aidez ? Je ne veux pas baissé si facilement les bras !

mon chat à 16 ans, je l’ai depuis 13 ans. Il n avait jamais été malade jusqu à ce jour et n’avait donc pas été chez le vétérinaire depuis 13 ans (sterilisation). Il boite depuis quelques semaines, patte arriere droite, et a perdu du poids,j’ai donc été chez le véto, celui ci a diagnostiqué une tumeur en faisant une radio, Il m’a dit qu’il n y avait rien à faire, que des soins palliatifs, il a mis mon chat sous cortisone et me disant qu’on passerait à la morphine quand son état se détériora. Qu’en pensez vous ? Faut il que je consulte ailleurs pour plus d’examens et de soins ? Avez vous un protocole permettant un meilleure qualité de vie pour mon chat? Je vous remercie
